HummZinger starts with Karyn. A self-taught cook, lifelong host, and firm believer that some of the best memories are made around a kitchen table. What began with cooking for her own family grew into years as a private chef, monthly cooking classes, serving up weekly family dinners, supper clubs and more. Shaped by a life of travel and a love of bold flavors from India to Dubai, Spain to Morocco. Austin has been home now for more than six years, where Karyn cooks with the same philosophy: great ingredients, plenty of care, and never skimp on flavor! HummZinger began as an add-on for her weekly dinner clients, but after parents and kids alike kept asking for more, and more, it became clear this little chilli oil needed a life of its own.

With help and encouragement from her kids, Karyn turned a family favorite into a small-batch Austin staple in hopes of passing along a bit more heat, flavor, and joy to every table.
